KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Scania Ukraine has delivered a batch of nine tipper trailer trucks of the Polish brand Wielton for the transportation of grain to its long-term partner – A-Grain agricultural group, the distribution company has reported.
"Vehicles of increased comfort – spacious and insulated S-cabins, radios with navigation, leather steering wheel, refrigerator, climate control," the report on the company’s Facebook page says.
The cost of the supplied vehicles was not disclosed.
According to A-Grain Trans’s website, its fleet consists of 86 Scania tractors with semi-trailers for agricultural cargo. The company transports seeds, grains and oilseeds, oversized cargo (agricultural machinery and equipment), fuels and lubricants.
A-Grain agricultural group is engaged in the cultivation and storage of grain and oilseeds, as well as animal husbandry.
The distribution company with foreign investments Scania Ukraine has been operating on the Ukrainian market since 1998 (before that, there had been a representative office since 1993).
In 2020, the company’s revenue decreased by 6% compared to 2019 – to UAH 1.651 billion, net profit decreased by 22.7% – to UAH 42.4 million. The company occupied 27.4% of the Ukrainian market of trucks manufactured in Europe.
In 2021, according to Auto-Consulting, Scania ranked third in the sales ranking of new trucks with a gross weight of over 3.5 tonnes in Ukraine following the Belarusian MAZ (which has actually left the market today) and MAN.
