KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk will discuss the extension of the “economic visa-free regime” during the latter’s visit to Ukraine this month.
“Ukraine is working on the extension of the ‘economic visa-free regime’ with the EU. Thanks to this, Ukrainian businesses will be able to continue to sell their goods in Europe free of any quotas, duties or tariffs,” Shmyhal said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
He also said the government expects Ukraine’s European neighbors to show a constructive position regarding the issue.
“We will discuss this with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk during his scheduled visit to Ukraine this month,” Shmyhal said.
The unblocking of the border by Polish protesters proves that the countries are able to find a common language while addressing important issue, the prime minister said.
