By KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Metinvest mining and metallurgical group has mastered the production of special steel and metal products for use by the Ukrainian military in the conditions of the full-scale war, the group said in a press release on Tuesday.
At the same time, steel, which is able to protect the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and make their stay at the front as safe as possible, is especially relevant now.
According to the group’s press release, from the first days of the full-scale invasion, the company’s metallurgists began to master the production of metal products for the needs of the defenders, including as part of the Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative. Metinvest is implementing part of the army assistance projects together with partners.
"From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest has been a reliable support for Ukraine. In addition to material resources aimed at supporting the defenders, we are proud that we can help the defenders with our professional experience," CEO of Metinvest Yuriy Ryzhenkov said.
According to him, since the beginning of the war, from the metal of the group, specialists have mastered the manufacture of new, atypical products for mining and smelting enterprises: mobile special shelters, field furnaces, armored plates, iron hedgehogs, etc.
"This is our way to thank the servicemen and bring Ukraine’s victory closer," the CEO of the company said.
According to the press release, the Metinvest group will continue to direct all its resources to support the army to bring victory closer, and after it to help rebuild the country.
