BAKU. Set 4 (Interfax) – The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in 2022 produced 6.4618 million tonnes of oil, including condensate, which is 2% lower than in 2021.
Gas condensate production last year totaled 402,600 tonnes, a decrease of 59.3%, SOCAR told Interfax.
Gas production in 2022, including associated gas, reached 6.4781 bcm, an increase of 0.7%. Of this volume, associated gas accounted for 1.885 bcm, an increase of 30.1%.
In 2022, SOCAR exported 1.424 million tonnes of oil with gas condensate, an increase of 7.2%, with a value of $806.8 million, an increase of 24.6%. Gas exports, including associated gas, totaled 2.819 bcm, a 2.4-fold increase, with a value of $1.816 billion, a 10.2-fold increase.
At the close of 2022, SOCAR had 2,454 oil wells on its balance sheet, down from 2,527 in 2021, as well as 245 gas wells (unchanged YoY).
