SPF sells state stake in Orion plant in Odesa for UAH 80 mln

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) has sold at a privatization auction a state-owned 50% stake in Orion Machine Building Production Association (Odesa) for UAH 80 million, which is 12 times more than the starting price, the agency’s press service reported.

According to the report, six companies participated in the auction. Kurortny LLC (Odesa) became the winner. The starting price of the lot was UAH 6.8 million.

The area of the plant’s property is 39,500 square meters. The state-owned stake in the amount of 50% is 2.8 million shares with a nominal value of UAH 720,800.

According to Opendatabot, the owner of Kurortny LLC is Complex Kurortny LLC, the largest shareholder of which is PrJSC Odesa Cannery production association. The beneficiaries of the latter are Oleh Osadchy and Liudmyla Rovynska.

Orion, once a major manufacturer of compressors for refrigeration and other types of equipment, according to the annual report for 2020, received UAH 5.4 million in net income and UAH 15.5 million in net loss. All income is derived from the rental of real estate.

As of the third quarter of 2022, the state owns 50% in Orion, Greenstroy LLC (Odesa) – 22.32%.
