KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Sukha Balka mine (Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), which is part of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky’s DCH Group, on August 17 this year put into operation a new block for the extraction of iron ore at Yuvileina mine.
According to information in the corporate newspaper DCH Steel, the subsoil will be developed in the traditional way.
It is clarified that the new block 122-128 is located in the Holovny deposit on the fifth floor of the horizon minus 1,420 m of Yuvileina mine. Its reserves are about 166,000 tonnes. The average iron content is 58.88%.
The mining will be provided by the miners of section No. 10.
It is planned to develop the reserves of the new block by the end of this year.
Sukha Balka mine is one of the leading enterprises in the mining industry in Ukraine. It extracts iron ore underground. The company includes the mines Yuvileina and Frunze mine.
DCH Group acquired the mine from Evraz Group in May 2017.
