Tax revenues from tourism industry up in Kyiv and 14 regions in H1 2023 – Tourism Agency

KYIV. Sept 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Tax revenues from representatives of the tourism industry in the first half of the year increased in the capital and 14 regions, the State Agency for Tourism Development told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the report, the largest increase over this period was recorded in Kyiv region, whose tourism industry representatives paid UAH 111.157 million to the budget against UAH 63.190 million for the same period in 2022. In the first half of 2021, this figure was UAH 54.251 million.

Lviv region for the first six months of this year paid UAH 147.949 million to the state budget, against UAH 129.880 million for the same period last year. In 2021, Lviv region paid UAH 85.911 million to the state treasury for the same period.

The leaders in the growth of tourist taxes include Bukovyna – UAH 13.113 million. For the first half of last year, representatives of the tourism industry in this region paid UAH 9.057 million, which is UAH 2.068 million more than in 2021.

In Zakarpattia, tax revenues from the tourism industry increased to UAH 35.916 million against UAH 33.154 million in 2022. For comparison, in 2021, revenues amounted to UAH 24.748 million.

Volyn also recorded an increase in tax revenues (UAH 6.827 million) compared to 2022 (UAH 6.022 million), and from 2021 – an increase by a quarter (UAH 5.460 million).

Since the beginning of the year, Vinnytsia region has paid almost the same amount as in 2022 – UAH 11.720 million against UAH 11.453 million. In pre-war 2021, the region paid UAH 10.895 million to the treasury for the first half of the year.

Zhytomyr region also recorded an increase in tax revenues from tourism entities compared to the same period in 2022 – UAH 5.957 million against UAH 4.645 million. In the first half of the COVID 2021, taxes from the tourism industry in the region were almost the same as this year (UAH 5.486 million).

In Rivne region, tax revenues also increased for the first two quarters of this year compared to the first half of 2022 – UAH 7.813 million against UAH 6.723 million. If to compare the amounts of taxes for 2022 and 2021, they will be almost the same – UAH 6.656 million.
