Ukraine cuts export of iron ore by 39%, revenue by 56% in Jan-Oct

KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian mining enterprises in January-October of this year reduced the export of iron ore raw materials in quantity terms by 38.9% compared to the same period last year, to 22.436 million tonnes.

According to statistics released by the State Customs Service, over the specified period, foreign exchange earnings from the export of iron ore decreased by 56.2%, to $2.769 billion.

During the specified period, iron ore was imported to Ukraine for $42,000 in a total volume of 74 tonnes, while in January-October 2021 – for $160,000 in a total volume of 1,175 tonnes.
