KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The total amount of donations to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, including the announced ones, has exceeded EUR 300 million, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.
“We are preparing for any possible scenarios, reinforcing the active and passive defense of our energy facilities, accumulating international assistance. Ukraine Energy Support Fund has exceeded EUR 300 million, including the announced contributions,” he said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to the prime minister, the leaders of support include the EU, Germany, Sweden, the United States, and the UK.
“We use these funds to buy transformers, turbines, connectors, equipment for backbone networks, and many other things. I am sure that the world’s solidarity will help us to get through the winter. I am grateful to all countries for their support for our energy sustainability,” he said.
