KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in January-November of 2023 reduced revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 44.2% year-over-year, to $2.433 billion.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service on Friday, ferrous metals accounted for 7.38% of total merchandise export earnings during the period, up from 10.7% over 11 months of 2022.
In November, receipts from the export of ferrous metals amounted to $174.380 million, while in the previous month to $175.8671 million.
At the same time, over 11 months of 2023, Ukraine increased imports of similar products by 38.7%, to $1.199 billion. In November, products worth $96.342 million were imported.
In addition, in January-November, Ukraine decreased the export of metal products by 16.4% year-over-year, to $821.833 million. In November, $57.282 million was exported.
At the same time, imports of metal products during this period increased by 40%, to $828.388 million. In November, $105.347 million worth of these products were supplied to Ukraine.
