KYIV. Dec 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Exports from Ukraine by road through Poland in November decreased compared to October by 39.3%, to 282,300 tonnes, while imports – by 44.6%, to 511,600 tonnes, such recent data of the State Customs Service was published by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko on Facebook.
According to them, the largest drop was recorded at the Yahodyn checkpoint: exports – almost 80%, to 32,400 tonnes, and imports – 67.8%, to 113,700 tonnes.
Ukrainian exports through the Rava-Ruska checkpoint decreased almost by half – by 46.5% – to 44,600 tonnes, while imports through it decreased by more than half – by 55.9% – and amounted to 76,800 tonnes.
Finally, at the Krakovets checkpoint, which is one of the three points to which Polish road carriers began blocking the entrances on November 6, exports last month decreased by 10%, to 112,500 tonnes, while imports – by 39.7%, to 127,400 tonnes.
At the Mostyska checkpoint, the blocking of the entrances to which from the Polish side began on November 23, and became round-the-clock from November 27, exports in November decreased by 6.9%, to 88,300 tonnes, while imports increased by 13.7%, to 148,600 tonnes.
The remaining four checkpoints on the border with Poland, where there is no movement of heavy loaded transport, accounted for 4,400 tonnes of exports and 41,500 tonnes of imports in November, as follows from the statistics provided.
According to it, despite this decline, Poland remains the main destination for both exports by road transport and imports. As a result, total exports by road transport in November fell by 26.7%, to 783,000 tonnes, while imports fell by 23.5%, to 967,100 tonnes.
In particular, exports through Slovakia, the only checkpoint from which Slovak carriers blocked trucks from December 1 after several warning strikes in November, last month decreased by 6.9%, to 66,200 tonnes, while imports increased by 29 .1%, to 88,300 tonnes.
In November, exports via Hungary by road increased by 0.3%, to 163,200 tonnes, while imports increased by 39.4%, to 137,500 tonnes.
Exports through Romania in November fell by 6.4%, to 203,700 tonnes, with a slight increase in imports by 0.4%, to 242,800 tones, while exports and imports through Moldova decreased by 11.8%, and 13.4%, to 157,500 tonnes and 116,200 tonnes, respectively.
