KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Farmers from all regions of Ukraine threshed 75.7 million tonnes of grain and oilseeds – 55.53 million tonnes and 20.703 million, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, grain and leguminous crops was harvested on an area of 10.237 million hectares with a yield of 5.38 tonnes per ha.
To date, in Ukraine, the collection and threshing of barley has been completed from 1.505 million hectares (101% of the plan), of which 5.909 million tonnes were received; wheat – 22.478 million tonnes from 4.695 million hectares (101%); peas – 399,500 tonnes from 154,400 hectares (103%), as well as rapeseed – 4.005 million tonnes of seeds from 1.396 million hectares (98%).
The harvest of millet is being completed, of which 180,000 tonnes were received from 79,500 hectares (95%), and buckwheat – 207,400 tonnes from 139,700 hectares (99%). At the same time, 24.878 million tonnes of corn were threshed from 3.325 million hectares (82%).
In addition, 1.002 million tonnes of other grains and leguminous crops were threshed from 339,900 hectares.
In Ukraine, work continues on oilseeds, which have been harvested from a total area of 8,206 million hectares. In particular, sunflower was threshed – 11.929 million tonnes (11.586 million tonnes a week earlier) from an area of 5.009 million hectares (99%), soybeans – 4.769 million tonnes (4.750 million tonnes) from 1.8 million hectares (99%).
Sugar beets were dug from an area of 236,300 hectares (227,100 hectares a week earlier), which amounted to 95% of the planned area. A total of 11.83 million tonnes was received.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy also monitors information on agricultural yields, which for wheat was 4.79 tonnes per ha, barley – 3.93 tonnes per ha, peas – 2.59 tonnes per ha, millet – 2.26 tonnes per ha, buckwheat – 1.48 tonnes per ha. The yield of corn is 7.48 tonnes per ha, rapeseed – 2.87 tonnes per ha, soybeans – 2.65 tonnes per ha, sunflower – 2.38 tonnes per ha. Sugar beet yield is 46.91 tonnes per ha.
According to the ministry, farmers in the Odesa, Zaporizhia and Mykolaiv regions have completed the harvest of all crops.
As reported, winter wheat crops this season amounted to 4.166 million hectares (834,000 hectares less compared to the previous one), winter barley – 536,000 hectares (255,000 hectares less), rapeseed – 1.374 million hectares (110,000 hectares more).
According to the adjusted forecast of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in 2023, farmers will be able to harvest 79.1 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds, from which grains will be obtained in the following volumes: wheat – 21.7 million tonnes, barley – 5.7 million tonnes and corn – 28.5 million tonnes. Gross production of oilseeds will reach 21.6 million tonnes, in particular, sunflower – 13 million tonnes, rapeseed – 4 million tonnes, soybeans – 4.6 million tonnes. The sugar beet harvest is projected at 13.7 million tonnes.
