KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned Ukrgasbank (Kyiv) in cooperation with the German government will for the first time begin implementing the program “Access to finance and support for the sustainability of MSMEs in Ukraine II,” within which it is planned to compensate 30% of the cost of investment projects for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME), reported the website of the state bank.
“Ukrgasbank plans to provide about UAH 50 million in loans with a grant component within the framework of the program,” it told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to the release, the corresponding memorandum was signed on October 27.
According to the report, funding and grant support under the program will be available to MSMEs that are involved in the processing industry, as well as economically important production activities and other areas of business.
“Priority will be given to relocated enterprises and enterprises in their host communities, as well as enterprises from de-occupied territories,” the release notes.
It is clarified that the program can be combined with the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% state program, which contributes to the availability of loans for businesses during the ongoing war.
“Ukrgasbank has significant experience in lending specifically to business investment projects and is one of the top three program leaders in the investment component,” the press service recalled.
