Ukrgazvydobuvannia connects more than 630 wells to remote monitoring

KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia has connected more than 630 wells to the unified monitoring system since 2020.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia has been digitalizing production since 2020. Over the course of three years, modern technologies were introduced at more than 630 wells. Since the beginning of 2023, more than 250 wells have been connected to a unified monitoring system,” Naftogaz Group reported on its website.

Acting General Director of Ukrgazvydobuvannia Oleh Tolmachev said the transition to modern technologies has already led to a reduction in gas losses and a reduction in operating costs for servicing wells integrated into a unified monitoring system.

“Digitalization creates new opportunities to increase the efficiency of gas production. For us, this is, of course, a strategic direction. For now, we can analyze the performance of key wells online and quickly respond to any changes,” he noted.

Tolmachev also added that in the near future Ukrgazvydobuvannia plans to introduce remote monitoring of the operation of drilling rigs.

As reported, Ukrgazvydobuvannia has set itself the task of increasing natural gas production by 1 billion cubic meters in 2023 – up to 13.5 billion cubic meters. In 2022, it produced 12.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas (commercial), which is 3% less than in 2021.

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 100% of the shares of Ukrgazvydobuvannia.
