Ukrnafta initiates unscheduled tax, audit checks

KYIV. Dec 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrnafta has initiated unscheduled tax and audit checks at the enterprise, the company’s press service reported.

"The Supervisory Board of Ukrnafta ordered director Serhiy Koretsky to apply to the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the State Audit Service of Ukraine with a request to conduct an unscheduled due diligence," the report says.

According to the press service, the results of such an audit will make it possible to fully establish the real state of affairs at the enterprise.

As reported, on November 5, the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief decided on November 5 to withdraw the shares of Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta (with the exception of the share of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy), as well as Motor Sich, AvtoKrAZ and Zaporizhtransformator, into state ownership as military property during martial law. This was carried out on November 6 after the settlement of the procedure by the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

The general meeting of shareholders of Ukrnafta on November 9, 2022 amended the company’s charter, replacing a collective executive body (board) with a sole one (director) represented by Serhiy Koretsky.

Ukrnafta owns 85 special permits for hydrocarbon production. It has 1,809 oil and 153 gas wells on its balance sheet. The company owns 537 gas stations, of which 449 are operating as of early December 2022.

In Ukrnafta, a controlling stake is owned by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, while a minority stake (about 42%) before withdrawal belongs to the structures of Ihor Kolomoisky and Hennadiy Boholiubov.
