Ukrnafta resumes commercial sale of natural gas at UEEX

KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – After a three-year break, PJSC Ukrnafta has returned (excluding the sale of its own gas production at regulated prices) to the sale of natural gas on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX).

According to the exchange, on November 29, the company offered natural gas in UGS facilities with delivery in December at a starting price of UAH 25,416.7 per 1,000 cubic meters (without VAT).

Ukrnafta’s offer interested seven companies. According to the results of the auction, 100,000 cubic meters were sold at a weighted average price of UAH 25,000 per 1,000 cubic meters (without VAT).

"We welcome the resumption of commercial sales by Ukrnafta at UEEX. Cooperation with a powerful state-owned company will help form the most relevant price indicators for natural gas sales on the domestic market," Oleksandr Kovalenko, CEO of UEEX, said.

Today, November 30, the auction is also scheduled, where the Ukrnafta gas is presented.
