KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Service for Transport Safety (Ukrtransbezpeka) has extended for another month, until September 30, the deadline for making changes to the environmental class of passenger buses, the statements of which do not indicate the environmental class or indicate the EURO-1 environmental class, the department said.
“From October 1, if a passenger bus does not have an environmental class or a EURO-1 environmental class, it will be impossible to apply for crossing the 18-60 border,” Ukrtransbezpeka emphasized.
An environmental standard (or class) is a single standard established for all vehicles for substances hazardous to the environment that are contained in the exhaust gases of vehicles.
Today, the newest class is EURO-6.
Earlier, Ukrtransbezpeka extended the deadline for making changes to the environmental class of passenger buses for a month, until August 31.
