Ukrzaliznytsia reports blackout in some railway sections, but all trains running

KYIV. Dec 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Damage to the energy infrastructure due to Russian massive batch shelling has led to the fact that a number of railway sections in Kharkiv, Kirovograd, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions are de-energized, Ukrzaliznytsia said.

"Currently, passenger electric trains in these regions will move under reserve diesel locomotives," the company says in Telegram.

Ukrzaliznytsia also reports a short-term blackout on Darnytsia, indicating that trains are already running, but there will be several minutes of delay in both directions.

At Darnytsia and Central Stations in Kyiv, boarding for all flights continues from underground passages, the company said.

@There are shelling again, another power outage, we are switching to Plan B again. We are not canceling a single long-distance route. There will be delays, but we will take everyone," Ukrzaliznytsia board chair Oleksandr Kamyshin said in Telegram.
