KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia welcomes the agreement reached by the Council of the European Union on the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).

"So good to see four TEN-T routes, EU main transport corridors, now being extended to Ukraine!" Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas wrote on Twitter.

"The proposal will also strengthen transport connections with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova to increase the capacity of the Solidarity Lanes used for imports and exports between both countries and the EU," the European Commission said on its website.

"Ukraine is joining the EU, and Ukrzaliznytsia will be part of the EU railways network. Extending TEN-T corridors on the Ukrainian railway’s network is an important step," head of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Kamyshin said on Twitter.
