By KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Fundraising platform of the President of Ukraine UNITED24 and mining and metallurgical group Metinvest have created the final series of bracelets "This is Azovstal. A Symbol of Perseverance" using the last pre-war batch of steel from the Mariupol steel plant.
According to a press release from the company on Tuesday, the last edition of the bracelets was made from steel letters "I believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine," which were at the foot of the largest flag of Ukraine for a month. The bracelet costs UAH 1,500, and one can buy it not only in Ukraine, but also in the EU, the United States and Canada. All proceeds from the sales of the bracelets will be used to create the first ever fleet of marine drones for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, it is recalled that for every Ukrainian, Azovstal is more than the name of a steel plant: it has become a symbol of the courage and invincibility of the defenders of Ukraine, who turned out to be stronger than steel. That is why 30,000 Azovstal steel bracelets produced in October within the first and second runs were sold out in a matter of days.
On November 15, the sale of the last and from this especially valuable edition begins. It was created from the letters "I believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" so that thousands of people could share faith in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Participation of Metinvest in the "This is Azovstal. A Symbol of Perseverance" project is part of the Steel Front military initiative of Rinat Akhmetov.
"I am sure that the entire edition of bracelets will be distributed throughout Ukraine and the world in a few days. I hope that we will make the next batch of bracelets from the first batch of steel at the restored Azovstal in Mariupol, Ukraine," Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest, is quoted by the press service.
The design of bracelets engraved with the coat of arms of Ukraine was developed by SOVA jewelry house.
