USA considering supply of Stryker IFVs to Kyiv – media

WASHINGTON. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Washington is considering the possibility of including Stryker infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) in the next package of military assistance to Ukraine, Politico reported, citing its sources.

The United States may announce this new arms shipment for Kyiv late next week, possibly during the next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Germany. At the same time, it is not yet clear whether Stryker infantry fighting vehicles will be included in this package, since a final decision has not yet been made.

As reported, last week Washington announced the allocation of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of more than $3 billion. It provides for the supply of 50 unified Bradley tracked platforms, 100 M113 armored personnel carriers, 55 wheeled armored vehicles with enhanced mine protection MRAP, 138 HMMWV army cargo vans, 18 155mm self-propelled howitzers and 36 105mm towed howitzers. The list includes RIM-7 anti-aircraft missiles, and additional ammunition for HIMARS MLRS.
