VAT refund grows by 20% in Nov – MP Hetmantsev

KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of value added tax (VAT) reimbursement to businesses grew in November by 20% compared to October and amounted to UAH 13.6 billion, Head of the relevant parliamentary committee of the Rada Danylo Hetmantsev has said.

"In November, businesses were reimbursed VAT of UAH 13.6 billion. This is the highest figure since February," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

According to him, registers for VAT refunds worth UAH 9.4 billion were also transferred to the Treasury.

As reported, VAT refunds were almost completely stopped after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 this year. If in January it was UAH 18.52 billion and in February UAH 12.07 billion, then in March it was UAH 0.82 billion, and in April and May it was completely absent and resumed only in June, when UAH 9.5 billion was paid, in July it almost stopped again and UAH 0.6 million was paid.

However, in August the payments amounted to UAH 9.4 billion, in September they reached UAH 1.6 billion and in October they were UAH 10.9 billion.

At the same time, businesses have recently increased the number of complaints about blocking VAT refunds.
