World, Ukrainian Wind Energy Associations hand over two 3 kW mobile solar plants to Irpin's outpatient clinics

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, within the joint project, transferred two 3 kW mobile solar power plants purchased with donor funds from KNESS Energy to Irpin city center for primary healthcare.

The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association said in a press release on Monday, the goal of the joint project, which is donated by citizens of different countries from different continents, is to help people solve energy problems through the use of renewable energy sources.

The association said WWEA and the Global100RE Global Platform launched the Renewables4Ukraine campaign to raise funds for the purchase and transfer of equipment to Ukraine, in particular, small and autonomous solar systems, including batteries, power banks, and others.

As noted by WWEA Secretary General Stefan Gsänger, whose words are quoted in the release, people from all over the world express their support for Ukraine with their financial donations, which the association receives from both companies and individuals.

"We want to make our modest contribution to the transformation of Ukraine into an energy self-sufficient country through the use of renewable energy sources," he said.

Head of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association’s board Andriy Konechenkov called the key goal of the project the provision of assistance to hospitals in the regions most affected by Russian aggression. In addition, according to him, this project supports Ukrainian manufacturers of equipment for renewable energy.

According to Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn, in a statement on the city administration’s website, one of the solar power plants will operate in the outpatient clinic for family medicine No. 3 on Nizhynska Street in Irpin, and the other in the outpatient clinic with.
