By KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the European Council Charles Michel on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the press service of the head of state said.
It is reported that the leaders discussed the status of implementation of seven recommendations of the European Commission on Ukraine’s membership in the EU.
Zelenskyy also briefed Michel about the situation on the battlefield. In this context, the parties noted the importance of defense support for Ukraine from the EU.
The parties also discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the Global Peace Summit.
