KYIV. Sept 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a call with French leader Emmanuel Macron on Sunday.
“I had a focused call with French President Emmanuel Macron. I thanked France for its support, including crucial military aid. We discussed the next packages,” Zelenskyy said on Twitter.
According to the Ukrainian president, there is an agreement on the participation of French companies in the Defense Industries Forum in Kyiv in the autumn.
The leaders also discussed ensuring the functioning of the grain corridor and strengthening the security of Odesa region.
“We also agreed to begin talks on bilateral security guarantees following the relevant G7 declaration. Our teams are tasked with moving forward,” Zelenskyy said.
“I thanked France for taking the lead in implementing the Peace Formula. We discussed the Global Peace Summit, which needs to engage a broad number of countries, particularly those outside of Europe,” he said.
