Ukrainian State Film Agency, Slovak Film Institute sign memo of cooperation

KYIV. Sept 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian State Film Agency and the Slovak Film Institute have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

“At the Ukrainian Film Week in the Slovak Republic, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the Slovak Film Institute. The initiative is designed to encourage cooperation between filmmakers, producers and film professionals from both countries and support the development of joint projects that have the potential to develop into films of high quality,” the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency said.

It is noted that the memorandum provides for: cooperation to promote their countries in production of film and audiovisual works; facilitating the conclusion of agreements on co-production of audiovisual works in order to develop the film and audiovisual industry; promotion (each on its own territory) of initiatives aimed at promoting the development of joint projects in the industry; helping a new generation of professionals in the film and audiovisual industry to realize their projects at the international level; promoting the development of joint activities aimed at supporting the growth and international development of the industry in each country; dissemination of works and development of co-production projects between countries.

According to the report, the memorandum of cooperation is valid for one year, after which it is automatically renewed.
