Ukrainian MFA holds meetings with govt delegation of Czech Republic

KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On September 11-12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis and Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi held separate meetings with the delegation of the Czech Republic headed by the National Security Advisor to the Government of the Czech Republic Tomáš Pojar.

Ministry’s leadership expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for unwavering support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, for the readiness to partake in the implementation of concrete points of the Peace Formula, initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as for the intention to participate in specific projects on reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular through the implementation of relevant programs initiated by the Government of the Czech Republic, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

“The Ukrainian Side thanked Czeсhia for the considerable support in strengthening defense capabilities of our country against the background of Russia’s ongoing military invasion of Ukraine. It was also noted that Czech Republic’s co-sponsorship of the G7 Leaders’ Declaration was an important decision consolidating international efforts around security guarantees for Ukraine,” the message reads.

In addition, during the talks, the sides have exchanged their views on realizing Ukraine’s strategic course towards membership in the European Union and NATO as well as further development of political dialogue between Kyiv and Prague, in particular the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Czechia and the visit of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic to Ukraine.
