KYIV. Sept 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Oleshkivsky District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) into the death of a six-year-old child as a result of a night enemy attack in Kherson region, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) of Ukraine said.
“The death of a six-year-old child and the injury of four people as a result of a night attack on Bilozersk community in Kherson region, an investigation has been launched,” the PGO said.
According to the investigation, on September 14, after 00:00, the occupiers fired artillery at the village of Novodmytrivka, Bilozersk community, Kherson region.
Enemy shells hit a household and its territory. As a result, a six-year-old boy received life-threatening injuries. His 13-year-old brother was also hospitalized in serious condition. In addition, three neighbors were injured who tried to help but also came under enemy fire.
Households and outbuildings have been also damaged.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, are recording the consequences of the shelling, the PGO said.
