YEREVAN. Sept 15 (Interfax) – Two U.S. army generals have arrived in Armenia for the Armenian-U.S. Eagle Partner 2023 exercise.
Tenth Mountain Division Commander Maj. Gen. Gregory Anderson and United States Army Europe – Africa Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Brig. Gen. Patrick Ellis watched the exercise on Friday together with U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien, the embassy’s press service said.
The Eagle Partner 2023 exercise is part of preparations for international peacekeeping missions hosted by the Zar training center of the Armenian Defense Ministry’s peacekeeping brigade.
Some 85 U.S. soldiers and 175 Armenian troops are taking part in the drills.
