KYIV. Oct 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny discussed with Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Serhiy Shaptala and Commander of the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleschuk the issues of strengthening air defense and the use of aviation weapons.
“We carried out work at one of the control points of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We discussed with the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Air Force key issues regarding strengthening air defense, the use of aviation weapons and covering critical infrastructure facilities in the autumn-winter period,” Zaluzhny said in Telegram Wednesday evening.
“I thank our pilots, anti-aircraft gunners, specialists in radio engineering, electronic warfare, communications and logistics, and Air Force reconnaissance, who ensure results every day. Every day our wings and shield are getting stronger, every day we are closer to our goal,” the AFU Commander-in-Chief said.
