KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed defense and financial support for Ukraine with new Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Natalka Cmoc.
“Canada constantly shows leadership in issues important for Ukraine, including defense and financial support, as well as on the issue of confiscation of Russian assets. We discussed this area in detail. Thank you for your understanding and support,” Shmyhal wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to the prime minister, the updated free trade agreement has opened up broad business opportunities for both countries.
“We agreed with Madam Ambassador to organize a visit of a delegation of Canadian business to Ukraine. War risk insurance remains a key component in attracting investments. We count on the support of the Canadian government in this direction,” Shmyhal concluded.
