KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with leader of the UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“I had a call with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. I am grateful to the UAE for participating in the Peace Formula meeting in Jeddah and for its willingness to send a representative to Malta, as well as for its humanitarian medical and energy aid to Ukraine. I informed His Highness about Ukraine’s humanitarian Grain From Ukraine program and invited the UAE to its upcoming second summit,” Zelenskyy wrote on the social network X (Twitter) on Friday.
The Ukrainian head of state also said that during the conversation the situation in the Middle East was discussed.
“I underscored the importance of protecting civilians as well as ensuring the uninterrupted work of humanitarian corridors,” Zelenskyy concluded.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian head of state, following the conversation, the parties agreed to continue working on concluding an agreement on a comprehensive economic partnership.
