KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Among the civilian population in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 835 people have been injured by mines and explosive objects, the State Special Transport Service reported.
“As of November 1, 2023, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 561 incidents involving mines and explosive remnants of war have occurred among the population in Ukraine. Among the civilian population, 835 people were injured, of whom 264 were killed and 571 were injured,” the statement said on Facebook.
It is noted that the incidents occurred in the following areas: fields – 145; roads – 125; yard – 117; forests – 91; reservoirs – 30; and buildings – 53.
“We urge you to strictly follow the rules of mine safety. Markings warning of potential danger are installed specifically to warn about the danger. Special tape, signs Danger of mines!, Stop mines!, red flags in the ground – all this warns that the territories are dangerous. Don’t ignore them!” the State Special Transport Service urged.
