KHARKIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Of the three most shelled communities of Kharkiv region, where the forced evacuation of families with children has been announced, 89 children have already been evacuated from the 275 remaining there, said head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov.
“Our goal is to take absolutely all children out of the three communities. There we have 275 of them. As of today, 186 people have been evacuated, 89 of them are children,” Synehubov said on the air of the telethon Yedyni Novyny (United News).
He stressed that at the same time, cases of previously evacuated residents returning to their homes have been recorded.
“We have recorded 20 such facts. Of course, we communicate so that people do not stay, but leave. In particular, the relevant decisions were made by the Defense Council of Kharkiv region and approved by the relevant ministry to ban the return of children to such settlements, since it [their return] is too dangerous,” Synehubov said.
