KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Having sustained serious losses on the Yahidne-Kupiansk-Vuzlovy section, the Russian occupation forces suspended active operations there and are regrouping for the further resumption of their offensive, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky has said.
He said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency that the situation in the eastern direction is still difficult as the enemy does not abandon its attempts to find weak spots in the Ukrainian defense. In particular, the occupation forces’ assault groups mount constant attacks in the Kupiansk axis, trying to push the Ukrainian forces out of their positions.
The enemy also uses Storm V and Storm Z assault units in this area and replenishes the losses of its military units with the personnel that have received training at Russian training grounds.
“Tor the south, in the Yahiden-Kupiansk-Vuzlovy axis, the enemy sustained serious losses and suspended its active operations. The enemy is regrouping on this section for the further resumption of its offensive. It is building up reserves and concentrating artillery groups. It also mounts intensive artillery shelling attacks,” Syrsky said.
