KYIV. Nov 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Monday night, the defense forces eliminated 15 of 22 Shahed attack drones and one X-59 missile, which Russian occupation forces were using to attack critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
“As a result of combat work by the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 15 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and one X-59 guided aircraft missile were destroyed,” the statement says.
It is reported that launches of 22 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs were recorded from the area of Cape Chauda (Crimea). In addition, the enemy used one X-31 and one X-59 guided aircraft missiles each from the airspace of occupied Kherson region. The launch of the P-800 Onyx anti-ship missile and the Iskander-M ballistic missile from the territory of occupied Crimea was also recorded.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that during the night attack, an air raid alert was announced in most regions of Ukraine. Attack UAVs were destroyed along the route by tactical aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Air Force in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
