KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Enemy sabotage-reconnaissance groups try to enter the territory of Chernihiv and Sumy regions bordering the Russian Federation 9-10 times a month, the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev said.
“The goal of sabotage and reconnaissance groups is to conduct reconnaissance of our positions, to attack military or even civilian targets. Nine-ten times a month, enemy sabotage-reconnaissance groups try to enter the territory of Chernihiv and Sumy regions bordering Russia. These are professionally trained military personnel of special operations forces and the main intelligence department of the Russian General Staff, so we must always be ready,” the press service of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine quotes Nayev on the Telegram channel.
He explained that for this purpose, joint actions of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as well as combined arms units covering the state border of Ukraine are being worked out.
Nayev added that this interaction, clear distribution of responsibilities and coherence give Ukraine an advantage.
