By KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, admitted that communication with China is “not easy.”
“Not easy. But there were two very good conversations between the president and the leader of China. We are working on this relationship,” he said in an interview with Natalia Mosiychuk, published on her Youtube channel on Friday.
He believes that in the future China will take part in meetings of advisers on the Peace Formula. “Here they sent an official letter that this time they will not be able to participate. But still, I believe that they will take part in this,” Yermak said.
Unfortunately, he said, “there were many things in the past that led to the fact that the relationship today is what it is. We are definitely working to make them better.”
“China is a big player today. But there are a lot of arguments that I think are very strong in order for our attitude to become much better. I think that in the near future we will see such a very positive trend,” the head of the President’s Office said.
“I think it is very important that there be a meeting between President Zelenskyy and the leader of China. We are working on it,” Yermak said.
“There is a task from the president to ensure that we really do everything necessary so that in the near future our president has personal meetings with the leaders of the so-called Global South, which includes China, India, Brazil and so on. And it is very important that our president visits these countries,” he stressed.
