KYIV. Nov 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The number of Ukrainian border crossings in the week from November 4 to November 10 decreased by 12.7% – to 488,000, and vehicles allowed through – by 9%, to 121,000, which may be due to the completion of autumn school holidays, and blocking the border by Polish carriers.
According to data from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, published on Facebook, exit crossings decreased from 268,000 in the previous week to 251,000 this week, while entry crossings dropped from 291,000 to 237,000.
At the same time, the number of registered vehicles with humanitarian cargo increased from 761 to 805.
The Polish border guard service also recorded a decrease in passenger traffic this week by 12.4% – to 325,400.
According to the Polish agency, the number of people who entered Poland from Ukraine in a week decreased from 175,300 people to 164,600 people, while those following in the opposite direction – from 196,100 people to 160,800 people.
In total, since the beginning of the war, by November 10, 2023, some 17.02 million people arrived in Poland from Ukraine, while 15.23 million people traveled in the opposite direction.
As reported, from May 10, 2022, the outflow of refugees from Ukraine was replaced by an influx, which lasted until September 23 and amounted to 409,000 people.
