By KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, while speaking at the EU Foreign Affairs Council, described ceasefire proposals to Ukraine as shameful, comparing them to feeding a bear and inviting him to come back later.
“However hard we try to spin it, a ceasefire would be a victory for [Russian President Vladimir] Putin. Ukraine will never stop fighting unless we choose to abandon them. The shameful proposal I am hearing is to feed the bear and invite him to come back later. That was my warning today in Brussels,” he said on X social network (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
