KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Bomb disposal experts who are working in Kharkiv region have received the second Ukrainian-made ground preparation machine which was purchased at the expense of UN World Food Programme, the press service of the Economy Ministry of Ukraine has said.
“The Economy Ministry continues its active work to ensure that as many as possible requirements for hardware and equipment are satisfied exactly by Ukrainian manufacturers. Firstly, this helps to cut the costs on equipment for mine action units and allows to purchase more equipment at the same cost, i.e. to accelerate the clearing of lands. Secondly, in such a way we are developing our industry, creating new jobs,” First Deputy Prime Minister and the Economy Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said.
The minister highlighter that the government sets a task to support domestic producers, help to scale up the production, encourage business for the introduction of innovations in the field of demining.
The second machine was produced by Kharkiv manufacturers, the ministry said, adding that the first one was purchased at the expense of the regional budget and is already operating in the fields. It is planned to purchase two more machine by the end of the year.
