KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – All cluster hospitals in Ukraine should have a rehabilitation department with 30-60 beds to deal with the rehabilitation of military and civilians, Health Minister of Ukraine Viktor Liashko has said.
“We obliged cluster hospitals to open rehabilitation departments with 30 to 60 beds, depending on the capacity of the hospitals. For cluster hospitals, we set a clear requirement that they should have a rehabilitation department,” he said in an interview with the We are Ukraine TV channel on Tuesday.
The minister also said that in the segment of civilian rehabilitation, recovery after stroke is most in demand.
“For civilians, the most in demand is the stroke unit, after which almost everyone needs rehabilitation assistance,” he said.
