KYIV. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Greece is ready to host the second Ukraine-Balkans summit, Special Representative of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Ukraine Spiros Lambridis said during a meeting with Deputy Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva.
“The interlocutors discussed the status of implementation of agreements following the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Hellenic Republic in August this year, during which, in particular, the first Ukraine–Balkans summit was held,” the press service of the President’s Office said on Tuesday.
“Zhovkva thanked Greece for the significant support of Ukraine during the entire period of resistance to the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation and expressed hope for deepening cooperation in all strategic areas of mutual interest. For his part, Lambridis announced during the meeting Greece’s readiness to host the second Ukraine–Balkans summit in 2024,” the message says.
