KYIV. Dec 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his working visit to Norway, has met with King Harald V of Norway and thanked him for supporting the Ukrainian people.
“Oslo. Audience with King Harald V of Norway. Thank you to the Norwegian people, government and parliament for their strong humanitarian, financial and military assistance to our country,” Zelenskyy said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The head of state also thanked Norway for launching a large-scale five-year-long program of assistance to Ukraine in February 2023.
Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit also attended the audience, the press service of the Ukrainian president said.
The head of state highly appreciated the Royal Family’s personal support for Ukrainian citizens who found refuge from the war in Norway.
“Your visit to the center for Ukrainian refugees in the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine was an extremely powerful signal of Norway’s support for our people. We thank Your Majesty for this,” Zelenskyy said.
