Ukrzaliznytsia will launch analogue of City Express in Dnipro from Dec 20

KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia is launching an analogue of Kyiv City Express in Dnipro from December 20, Dnipro City Express will connect the city with the suburbs and satellite cities, the company’s press service reported.

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a new urban mobility project in the next region. The Dnipro City Express train will be launched in Dnipro on December 20 this year,” the statement said.

It is indicated that at the first stage, Dnipro City Express will run along the route Dnipro – Kamyanske and stop at the stations Horiayinove, Diyivka, Sukhachivka and Zaporizhia-Kamyanske.

Trains will depart from Dnipro at 05:14 (except weekends), 06:20, 10:00, 11:30 (except weekends), 15:40, 17:10 (except weekends), and 19:10. Return trains from Kamyanske will depart at 06:14 (except weekends), 09:00, 11:26, 12:42 (except weekends), 16:41, 19:12 (except weekends), and 20:14.

Travel time in both directions from the initial to the final station will be approximately 40 minutes, and the cost will be from UAH 12 to UAH 18.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported that updated and modern rolling stock would be used to carry out trips along the route: electric trains of the EPL2T series, restored at the facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia, will run on the route.

The trains will be equipped with ramps, places for people with disabilities and inclusive restrooms, navigation in Braille, places for bicycles, as well as Type-C and USB ports for charging gadgets.
