Some 302 vessels with 10 mln tonnes of exports already pass via Ukrainian sea corridor – Kubrakov

KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian sea corridor, which was established by the Ukrainian Navy, was used by 302 vessels exporting 10 million tonnes of cargo from the ports of Greater Odesa, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov said on Telegram on Tuesday.

“The export of 10 million tonnes of cargo is the result of the work of the Ukrainian corridor. In the Black Sea, 302 vessels exported products of Ukrainian farmers and other cargo to 24 countries,” the statement said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, during the four months of operation of the corridor, the range of goods was expanded and their export began. There is a significant increase in the volume of agricultural products: from 278,000 tonnes in the first month to almost 5 million tonnes now.

The Ukrainian corridor continues to operate despite Russia’s systematic attacks on port infrastructure, Kubrakov emphasized. Since its launch, the ports of Greater Odesa have accepted 337 new ships for loading, and another 79 are being prepared to receive in the near future.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and international partners who help ensure the operation of this route in conditions of military aggression.
