TBILISI. Dec 19 (Interfax) – Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina have met in Tbilisi to discuss cooperation between the alliance and the republic, the Georgian government’s press service said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Garibashvili thanked Colomina for the support and noted that European [and] Euro-Atlantic integration is one of the key priorities for Georgia in its foreign and security policy,” the Georgian government said.
At the meeting, the sides also discussed the contribution made by Georgia, as NATO’s reliable partner, to the process of maintaining security globally and in the Black Sea region, it said.
Colomina also met on Tuesday with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, and Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze.
