Lithuania hands over field equipment, MRE packages to Ukrainian army – Defense Ministry

KYIV. Dec 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Another batch of military aid from Lithuania has been delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense reports.

“We continue doing everything we can to ease the hard fight of Ukraine against the brutality of the aggressor. The different field equipment is critical during the cold season. Each package of our assistance is a step towards victory,” said Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas.

Last week Lithuania also sent to Ukraine several millions of rounds and ammunition for portable short-range antitank mortars.

Besides the consistent military equipment and gear donations Lithuania is actively training, providing treatment and rehabilitation for injured Ukrainian military personnel, hold expert-level consultations and contribute financially to international funds for Ukraine.
