KYIV. Oct 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Specific actions indicate that Guinea-Bissau supports Ukraine, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.
"Statements are one thing, but concrete actions are another, and we have seen from concrete actions that Guinea–Bissau just supports Ukraine," Kuleba said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday.
The Minister recalled that this country voted for the last and very important resolution of the UN General Assembly for Ukraine.
"And by the way, it voted for such a resolution for the first time since February 24. Before that, it really abstained, but in August, the President of Ukraine spoke by phone with the President of Guinea-Bissau, then I met with the Foreign Minister of Guinea-Bissau in New York during the session of the UN General Assembly," Kuleba added.
President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embaló met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine on Wednesday after his visit to Russia. He called Ukraine and Russia strategic partners of Guinea-Bissau and expressed hope that it would be possible to find a dialogue between "two fraternal peoples."
