NEW YORK (UN). Oct 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Nine ships loaded with food were cleared by the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) and left Ukrainian ports on Thursday.
"As of October 27, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 9,016,389 metric tons. A total of 794 voyages (395 inbound and 399 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
Nine ships carrying over 117,000 tonnes of grain and other agricultural products sailed out of Ukrainian ports on Thursday, it said.
Four bulkers, namely, the Princess Manissa with 21,000 tonnes of corn, the A Line carrying 10,903 tonnes of wheat, the Sevil with 5,000 tonnes of soybeans and the Nesa with 2,300 tonnes of peas headed to Turkey. The MV Inoi with 31,000 tonnes of grains is destined for Spain, and the MV Adil Ibrahimli carrying 6,630 tonnes of sunflower oil is on its way to Italy.
In addition, the Stella GS will bring 30,698 tonnes of corn to Tunisia, the Oris Jul will deliver 5,750 tonnes of sunflower oil to Israel, and the Ahmet Agaoglu will transport 4,060 tonnes of wheat to Greece.
"Grains that reach a destination may go through processing and be transshipped to other countries," the JCC said.
